Wood Lane Land – Statutory Notice and Next Steps

The Parish Council has resolved to dispose of the land at Wood Lane following public consultation and consideration of legal, financial, and community factors.

The notice currently appearing in the local newspaper is a statutory requirement when a local authority proposes to dispose of land. The publication of this notice does not re-open the Council’s decision to dispose of the land, it forms part of the legal process that must be followed before the disposal can proceed. Any representations received will be formally recorded and considered by the Council in accordance with the relevant legislation.

Following this stage, the Council will proceed with the disposal process, including independent valuation, proportionate marketing, and sale in accordance with statutory and best practice requirements.

Subject to the consideration of any representations received, and the completion of the required statutory steps, the Parish Council aims to progress the disposal during the early part of 2026.
